My Journey
I came to learn about Human Design through a friend while living in NYC in 2018. I was already quite familiar with astrology and other systems of self discovery, but diving into my chart felt very different. Human Design explained the underlying mechanics of who I am, which healed the urge ‘to fix’ certain aspects of myself and helped me step into my power. Learning my design had a deeper impact for me than all of the self-help books and courses I had ever done. Instead of trying to copy someone else’s path to success I could finally, and simply, be me. For a year I researched all the information available from books, websites, and various teachers. In the fall of 2019, following a nudge from within, I travelled to London for a Reader Training course with Jenna Zoë. This felt like the final puzzle piece in a system I had been studying bit by bit, layer by layer.
I began studying the charts of friends and family, giving impromptu readings at cafes, bars, and in the back seat of a full car. Their feedback was incredible, and knowing their charts allowed me to see them with a new appreciation. I had always been somewhat of a ‘life coach’ to my friends, and now with this system, tailored specifically to each person, I felt even more equipped to assist them. By becoming aligned with my true self I found I was able to spark others in their journey.
Since completing the Reader Training course I have completed hundreds of hours of further certifications, alongside a personal voyage into the this vast system with source literature.
Human Design is not another philosophy or some ‘mind candy’ to ponder; as tempting as that is, it’s a system to live and test each day. My experiment with this system of knowledge is far from over, and each day I learn more as I follow (or fail to follow) the simple guidance of my design. Like our very DNA, Human Design is an endless trove of information and I am continually pursuing higher education to deepen my own understanding.
When not working in Human Design I find creative self-expression and great joy as a singer/songwriter in an indie folk band.
